Cleveland activates, options Clevinger and Plesac

The Cleveland Baseball Club has activated and optioned pitchers Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac to the Alternate Training Site.

Do not expect to see Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac at any point this weekend. The Cleveland Baseball Club has activated both pitchers and optioned them to the Alternate Training Site. Both pitchers were on the restricted list due to leaving the team hotel in Chicago this past weekend.

Clevinger and Plesac drove to Detroit yesterday and were informed that they were being optioned.

The fact that Clevinger and Plesac drove up with their equipment with them really shows that they still don’t get it. They really thought that they’d be welcomed back with open arms and everything would be business as usual. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

Cleveland manager Terry Francona was apparently not a fan of Zach Plesac’s video.

Tito should be disappointed. That video was ridiculous and Plesac attempted to justify his actions even though he claimed that wasn’t what he was doing.

Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac will have just a little bit longer to try and realize the impact of their actions. Although it doesn’t seem like they will ever realize it at this rate.
