Browns sign Brian Allen off Bengals practice squad
The Cleveland Browns have added a cornerback to their depleted secondary.
With questions in regards to the availability to some of their defensive backs, the Cleveland Browns added an insurance policy by signing Brian Allen from the Bengals practice squad.
Cornerbacks Denzel Ward and Kevin Johnson are currently on the reserve/COVID-19 list and their status for Sunday’s playoff game is not known at this time. Either way, there is no such thing as too many defensive backs. The Browns struggled facing the Steelers B team this past Sunday and facing their A squad will be significantly more difficult.
Brian Allen has appeared in 17 career games, mostly on special teams. Allen has 6 career tackles while being on the rosters/practice squads of Pittsburgh, Seattle, San Francisco, and Cincinnati.
