Browns: Grant Delpit carted off practice field
Cleveland Browns rookie safety Grant Delpit was carted off the practice field Monday after suffering an apparent leg injury.
The Cleveland Browns defense may have lost a key contributor for the upcoming season as Grant Delpit was carted off the practice field Monday.
The injury occurred before the team drill.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo added that Delpit was grabbing his leg before exiting the practice field.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the team is having Delpit undergo testing for a possible achilles injury.
If the injury is serious that would mean an already thin secondary group would be even thinner. The Browns would be without their second round draft pick in Delpit and have to rely on players who probably should not have full time roles at this point in time (Karl Joseph, Andrew Sendejo).
